Acceptable Use Policy

What the HappyFetch API may and may not be used for. Draft, pending legal review.

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It keeps the service reliable for everyone and the data used lawfully.

You may not#

• Use the service or its data for anything unlawful, including unsolicited marketing that breaks e-privacy or anti-spam law, discrimination, harassment, or tracking individuals.
• Process personal data from results without a lawful basis, or ignore someone's request to stop.
• Resell or redistribute raw API access, or share your API keys outside your workspace.
• Get around rate limits, billing or security, for example by spreading one workload over many accounts or keys to avoid limits.
• Probe, attack or overload the service, or interfere with other customers' use of it.
• Present data from the service as something it isn't, for example as verified by us or endorsed by the source.

What we do about misuse#

We may throttle, suspend or revoke keys and accounts that break this policy. Where possible we warn you first and tell you what to change. Report misuse to hello@happyfetch.net.
